The launch of the 'CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal' has offered a ray of optimism, with the purpose of expediting the long-awaited refund procedure. On Tuesday, Cooperation Minister Amit Shah remarked, "Today marks the start of a transparent and experimental journey to restore trust and confidence by returning 5,000 crores to deserving Sahara Group depositors." As soon as the portal went up, it became a monument to the IFCI subsidiary's unwavering efforts to provide solace to distressed investors. Who Can Apply?
1. Depositors who have a
matured bond or have deposited before March 22, 2022.
2. Depositor's Having
linked mobile number and bank accounts. They will also have to give details of
the receipt.
3. Only the investors in
the below listed societies can apply.

Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Ltd.
·
Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd.
·
Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd.
·
Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd.
How to Apply for the
Sahara Refund Portal?
Go to the CRCS Sahara
Refund Portal And then follow below steps:
1.
Enter your Aadhaar Number's last four digits, your Aadhaar-linked
Mobile Number, and the Captcha. Then, choose "Get OTP."
2.
Enter the OTP now.
3. Once logged in, provide Aadhaar with your approval. Accept the terms and conditions on the following page by clicking "I agree."
4.
Enter your Aadhaar 12-digit number and click "Get OTP."
5.
Input the OTP and then click "Verify OTP."
6.
After validating the OTP, your Aadhaar user details will be shown.
7.
Enter the information from the Certificate of Deposit.
8.
Click "Submit Claim" to see all the information.
9.
After entering all of the claim data, the pre-filled claim request
form will be generated.
10.
Before completing the form, check that all claims are entered, as
they cannot be altered or added later.
11.
Affix your most recent photos and sign the claim form alongside
it.
12.
On the "Upload Document" page, upload the claim form and
a copy of your PAN card. (If the claim amount is Rs50,000 or above, a PAN card
is required.)
13.
Make a note of the claim request number. Take down the claim
request number for future reference.
What amount of money will be
refunded?
In terms of the depositors' process, Shah stated that the first payout of up to
Rs.10,000 will be paid to one crore investors who deposited Rs.10,000 or more.
